What is it?
The Photo Gallery is a place to buy and sell digital photos taken by California Artists.

How does it work?
In the Photo Gallery you will be able to search by keyword, artist, or simply view all of the thumbnail images uploaded to our site. (under construction)

We intend to offer the Photo Gallery for California photographers interested in selling their digital prints online.  Registration will be required for displaying your work, but not for viewing or purchasing.

We have found than many digital artists are great with cameras and photography, but they do not know or want to put up a web site.  We haven't worked out all the details as yet, but basically, you will be able to upload and display your best art work and sell it through our site.  Your images will be displayed on actual web pages that can be indexed by the major search engines to attract unlimited customers to your work. 

Do you do the printing?
No, we do not offer printing services.  There are many great sites that do that already.  This section will be for those dedicated artists who wish to print their own work and see it through from beginning to end. 

How much will it cost?
There will be no cost involved in displaying your prints.  Rather than pay for an ad on EBay for 7 to 10 days, and perhaps not selling anything,  you will be able to display your images without any 7 to 10 day limitation.  We will create an artist thumbnail page(s) which will link to individual image pages enlarged for viewing.  The artist will upload a thumbnail and a low resolution COPY of a viewable image.

You will be able to create pricing for various sizes you offer and your shipping costs.  Viewers can then order through our site.  The artist pays nothing unless the image sells.  We will handle the Pay Pal only transaction and forward the purchase price, less Pay Pal fees and our transaction charge, (a percentage * of the price of the print. (not yet determined)) to the artist after confirmation that the customer has received their work.  Shipping will REQUIRE a return receipt from the USPS, or a FED EX or UPS tracking number.  There must be proof of delivery.

How long can I display my prints?
We are still discussing that question.  This is not a site to post pictures to share with family and friends.  Again, there are many of those on the web.  This is for serious photographers who wish to sell their work but don't want to put up a web site to do so.

How much space do I have?
We are still discussing that question as well.  We "expect" to offer 100 mb of space per artist, which should allow you to display at least 100 images.
